  1. Create a device code on this page.
  2. On the physical Square Terminal, sign in and choose the device-code connection flow.
  3. Enter the code shown here before the pair-by time expires.
  4. Click Refresh This Code or Refresh Recent Codes until the status changes to PAIRED.
  5. Click Sync Devices so the paired terminal is stored in CustomerDB and available to the visit screen.
Square docs indicate the device code is created through POST /v2/devices/codes and the paired status can be checked through GET /v2/devices/codes/{id}.
